How it all started

The Soft Landing began long before it had a name

Ten homes. Five countries. Twenty years.

If anyone understands what it means to land somewhere new and need to make it feel like home — quickly, practically, and without losing your mind — it's me.

Every move taught me something. How to find the right shop when you don't speak the language. How to make decisions fast when you're exhausted and overwhelmed. How to turn four walls and a delayed shipment into somewhere your family actually wants to come home to. And how much harder all of it is when you're doing it alone, in a country that doesn't quite work the way you expect.

What I was always looking for — in every city, every country — was a local someone. Someone who knew what to buy and where to find it. Who understood the systems, the suppliers, the unwritten rules. Who could cut through the confusion and just get it done. That person, when I found them, made an enormous difference.

Over time, I became faster. Smoother. Better at it with every move.

And somewhere along the way, I became that person for others.

That's The Soft Landing.

Originally from the UK, educated in England and France, and very much at home in both worlds.

I've lived in France, London, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore — and since 2021, I've been based around the beautiful Lake Annecy in the heart of the French Alps.

I bring fluent French, a deep knowledge of the French retail landscape, and a way of working that is calm, clear and entirely focused on you.

My background spans e-commerce, start-ups and food — which means I'm practical, straight-talking and I notice the details that matter.

I work with clients by video, so wherever you are in the world and wherever your home is in France, we can work together seamlessly.

Whether you've just signed for the keys or have been meaning to get started for years — if you're ready to stop circling and start living, I'd love to hear from you.

À bientôt,

Way
